Growing in Faith, Together.

Welcome to the Youth and Children’s Ministry at Great Falls United Methodist Church! We are a vibrant, Christ-centered community where young hearts and minds grow in faith, friendship, and service. Through engaging programs, fun events, and meaningful worship experiences, we nurture children and youth of all ages to discover God’s love, develop their spiritual gifts, and build lasting connections within the church family. Whether your child is taking their first steps in Sunday School or your teen is exploring deeper discipleship, there’s a place for everyone to belong and thrive.

Nursery

High quality care is offered for infants and toddlers each Sunday. The nursery opens at 9:00 am to allow parents the opportunity to attend 9:00 am Sunday School and 10:00 am worship.

Children’s Church

There are two Children’s Sunday School classes offered for children each week. A class is offered for children in pre-kindergarten and  kindergarten. A second class, utilizing the one-room school house approach, is for children in 1st through 6th grades. Age appropriate curriculum is provided to the teachers.

Great Falls United Methodist Preschool

Great Falls United Methodist Preschool is a loving, play-based learning environment where young children grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Rooted in Christian values, our preschool nurtures each child’s natural curiosity and creativity while fostering kindness, respect, and a lifelong love of learning. With small class sizes, experienced teachers, and a strong sense of community, we provide a safe and joyful foundation for early childhood development. We are proud to be a trusted part of so many families’ first steps in education and faith.

UNITED METHODIST YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (UMYF)

The Great Falls United Methodist Youth Fellowship welcomes all youth in grades 6–12 from both the congregation and the wider community. Our goal is to create a space where youth can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and serve others—locally and globally. Through worship, service, and fellowship, UMYF encourages pre-teens and teens to become lifelong disciples of Christ.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact the church office at office@gfumc.org.

CONFIRMATION

During the school year, confirmation classes are offered to middle school youth in order to learn what it means to be a disciple of Christ and to discern if they are ready to make the commitment of joining the local church.

SEASONAL MINISTRIES

Vacation Bible School

VBS is a wonderful ministry held every summer for children age 3 through 5th grade. The ministry is a week long and is held from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. VBS provides a time of fun and fellowship as the children learn more about their Christian faith. Each year there is a different exciting theme!

Christmas Eve Family Service

Each Christmas Eve, a special service is held for families with young children. Children of all ages get to be a part of the service. Angels, wise people, and shepherds of every size are invited to participate. A fun time is had by all.

Easter Egg Hunt

An egg hunt is held each Easter morning to help celebrate Easter/Resurrection Sunday. Toddlers and 5th grade students alike enjoy finding sweet treats. It is also a great time for the families to socialize and take photographs.
